Case Study:
Laura Dawe - Multidisciplinary Artist
Laura Dawe is a multidisciplinary Canadian artist based in Toronto and Newfoundland.
Her painting, installation and video work contend with the domestic mania of political impotence; exploring the intersections of fine art and home decor. She believes home life is basically as political as anything else.
Dawe holds an MFA from OCADU (2018) and a BA in History from Dalhousie (2010). She is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre Director’s Lab (2012). She teaches at Sheridan College, The Haliburton School of Art & Design, and private workshops.
